Hahahaha... dude, I really do have every intention of moving down there as soon as I graduate, but even then it's not like I can just roll up into Vision, Crobar, Soundbar, or any other club with some records or CD's and just be like "Hey, can I play too?" and then proceed to just step up to the decks... :p
And it's not like I know jack about Pure or other promotions, promoting in Chicago in general, or any people who work for promotions or club owners etc. where I'd even have a clue as to where I could start... If it ever happens that I get the opportunity to play down there, it's likely only going to be after a signifcant period of hard work getting to know people and strategic whoring of myself in the city of chicago without pissing anyone off, all while continuing to work on DJ'ing and holdin' down a career, which isn't to say I can't or won't do it, but I'm often impressed at the amount of work a lot of the local guys seem to put in to playing... ;)
But then again, I don't know about it really, so we're back to square one and everything I just said could be grossly inaccurate (though I don't think it is)... |
