My personal favourite is the "Take Me To The Taco Bell" song.
LMC Vs U2 - Take Me To The Clouds Above
As it is, the original pop-track "How will i know" by Whitney Houston was a good track. It's mix using U2s syth sample from "With Or Without You" with groovy bass complements the track very well.
I have 5 different mixes of this track and love each of them!
Any such song from 80s whose Techno/Trance mixes were a massive hit in the dance clubs and which make for good listening too? |

both message in a bottle and take me to the clouds above are great but this one blows them out of the water:
Global Deejays - What a Feeling (Flashdance)
pm me if you can't find it.

80s tunes should never be remixed. they should be left alone. honestly, that's what made the 80s so great - was the music. so leave it alone!
wow, that made me feel old. |

^^ no way man. i think they should all be remixed. i watched footloose last night on HBO and there's a couple of songs in the soundtrack that definitely need a remixing!

You don't have to remind anyone... it did top the chart for several years. |

It was a clever combination but not the best 80's remix I have ever heard - |

Ah - here's a scorching one:
1200 Mics - Acid or Nothing
It's a cover of Money For Nothing by the Dire Straits. |

Don't think i liked it that much when it came out. Gonna listen to it again to see if i missed something. |

+1
All the British synth-pop sounded the same!
If the 80s was a good year for music, then it's obvious tubularbills means in a different country! :p
My fave track of the 80s is MJ's "Billie Jean". That's the one track that absolutely DID NOT need
any remakes or covers! Mind you, the Bushwacka 2001 Mix is nice. :) |

I found a version of T.M.T.T.C.A. which had vocals by Siobhan Gallagher (Big Ang - It's Over Now). I haven't heard the Whitney Houston one, but I know her vocals are far better than Siobhan's or Rachel McFarlene's! |
