HOLY FREAKIN' !!!!
Wow - JUST got back from seeing this movie - and am I ever impressed!!!
Not all enjoyed or thought as highly of the first one as I did, but I LOVED THE OUT OF IT! Saw it 3 times in theatres and own both versions of it on DVD.
Just let me say, this sequel ing PWNS the hell out of it! It goes deeper and is even more intense!

You find out SO MUCH backplot and history re: the Lycans (werewolves) and Vampires. Man, it was so ing fascinating! Selene just becomes MORE BADASS! Michael is on ing fire - they are the ing team!
The battles scenes are FAR, FAR cooler, last longer and generally scarier and more impressive. I was on the seat of my pants the entire movie.
Then when the real good went down at the end... I couldn't contain myself!! HOLY !
All I gotta say is:

Benji, despite your opinion of the first, GO SEE THIS MOVIE MAN! I think you'll like it MUCH BETTER!
The vampires - Selene specifically are far more impressive in their strengths, skills, EVERYTHING in this movie. ;) You'll enjoy it, I think.
I'm going to go see it again tomorrow night, but if you're looking to check it, I'd be up for watching it again when I come down for Johan Gielen on the 28th! :D

there's not too many movies that actually compel me to go see it in the Theatre, but I would actually like to see this one on the big screen.
Note: Unless the screener gods drop an amazing copy in my lap.. I'll be at the theatre for this one! |
