I thought the whole night was on point. We had Icey over at compound but I felt like I really needed to be over there to check out Markus, so I took the night off and I am very glad I did.
There is new form of trance out there that seems to be getting pioneered by Markus. His coldharbor selections, production style and DJ style to me represents something new.
Its inspiring to say the least. Over the past couple weeks, I have been working on a track thats been inspired by all this. I have it done now and if any of you care to check it out I will post a link on the TA music forum probably tomorrow.
But ya, this is a review thread for Markus. Overall, a great night! He is a great DJ and it was a pleasure talking to him. For those of you who havent seen him, dont miss him the next time you have an opportunity to.
You know it just hit me that my two favorite DJ's are from the US now. I think we are very fortunate to have such talent in the states. Hopefully in the coming years this will transcend into a bigger emphasis being placed on the talent here in the US. |
