Hello there!
I have had my external Firewire Audiophile soundcard for less than six months now and I have a problem which I believe is midi-related. In the beginning I noticed that the "level controller" knob doesn't work well. You see, when I start playing audio, for example in winamp, the knob works just fine. But it only works for some minutes until it stops and twisting the knob doesn't change the volume anymore. Although, when I restart the song the knob starts working again - for another few minutes. Sometimes it crashes almost immediately, sometimes it lasts for ten minutes. This problem is the same with any program, for example Reason 3.0.
Now, this is not a very big problem for me. What really bothers me is this:
A few weeks ago I tried to link my midi keyboard to my FW Audiophile to start working on melodies. Everything went smoothly, I managed to get Reason to recognize the keyboard easily and started working. However, after a few minutes the keyboard didn't work anymore. I didn't see anything wrong anywhere, the program didn't give any report of malfunction, but nothing happened as I pressed the keys on the keyboard. Then I closed the program and ran it again, and the keyboard worked perfectly - for a few minutes until it stopped working again.
I noticed, that at the same time as the keyboard stopped working, the "level controller" knob on my FW Audiophile also stopped working. And as I got the keyboard to work, the knob worked too.
Can anyone please help me out here, this is really disturbing my work.
