ok i'm from london, and i know property and areas well.
you mention you've got a grand a month budget. Is that definately in GBP? secondly, is that a grand just for renting an apartment alone and you have extra money for bills, leisure and food...or is that grand completely inclusive of all your outgoings?
If you've got a grand a month JUST for rent and you have more money for everything else, you can live in some very nice places...

most areas of london have good and bad spots, the best thing you can do is look for locations and then post on here to see what people think. dj_mdma, myself, and i'm sure there are a few others have pretty good knowledge of the areas.

Obviously you want to keep it in close commute to work ex. if you work west live west. Otherwise commuting can really take up time considering London's very spread out and the tube delays.
I liked living South ex. Clapham and Balham. Very convenient locations especially if you'll be clubbing alot;) considering the high concentration of clubs South of the river.
Happy hunting:) |
