Well the unthinkable happened, and a decent (although some of you may not agree lol) trance night was held in Kingston at The Works club, which is primarily a commercial type club.
Fiona and i had always wondered what it would be like to have a trance night in Kingston as it would be so convinient and the club is huuuuuge and can hold lots of people. Well i found out last night.
The Works has always had a very good lighting system and good soundsystem and floor layout, and it was put to effective use.
The lineup was Stevie G, Riley and Durrant and Solarstone.
Being a classics night i was looking forward to hearing some proper anthems...gouryella, out of the blue, ayla, carte blanche etc etc, but actually didn't get any of the tunes you'd expect really! But thats not to say i did not enjoy it, i had a ing awesome time.
This club usually has a less than friendly crowd since it is a commercial club, but this was not the case. Everyone was there to have a good time and enjoy the music.
The best thing about the night was seeing the mates i'd brought along to the night, who do not usually go trance clubbing (and were not known for liking this sort of music) really REALLY enjoy themselves. Even at the tunes which aren't that well known, watching them grin and bounce around was what made the night for me.
