Think of it as the Gameboy SP version 2. The only way to tell is by the box because it now says, "Now with Brighter Screen!" I didn't even know about this. Mainly because Nintendo purposely did not advertise about it because they didn't want to take away from the sales launch of the Gameboy Micro.
I'm curious to know if anyone here has this and if so, how much better the new screen on this looks Vs the original SP. The original SP is frontlit while the new SP2 is backlit. I read though the refresh rate is slower than the original SP so some things that move quickly have a shadowing effect. Is this that noticable? The Micro has this new type of screen and a higher refresh rate but I personally like the SP better because the screen is larger and it folds closed to protect the screen. |
