Fave Party Highlights 2005

tachyon
A few of my fave parties this year:

5am feat. Christopher Lawrence @ Room 680 ... trance the way it supposed to be played. Amazing set! ;)
UNIFY feat. Ronski Speed @ Altitude ... it is still possible for a trance party to have an excellent vibe from start to finish
Chinese Laundry feat. Deetron @ Public Office .. 3 decks wizardry and DJM600 abuse central.;)
Transatlantic 7 feat. Collabs @ The Metro ... The legendary 5 hour set! Whoever said techno is dead, you obviously wasn't there! :D
John Digweed @ QBH ... A living proof that once you got to that stage when you're a superstar DJ, you don't need to look at the crowd (not even once) to get the party going.
Obsession #1 & #2 @ Room 680 ... we all loved it, apparently Dr. P didn't. who cares what he thinks anyway. :p

Special mentions:

Thrillseekers @ The Cage .... everybody misbehaved in their own special way that night!
Unicycle 2 ... always a memorable one! :)
Private Function feat. Chris Meehan @ Altitude ... "what is prog?" :toothless

what's yours?

Christopher Lawrence - top notch set, one of the most original I've seen this year
Ronski Speed - Great set, great vibe, APPALLING SOUND all night; you could stand right in the middle of the dance floor and clearly hear conversations all around you, it was that quiet.
Obsession #1 - fabulous big-room feel during Mr Strangis' set. Lots of fun.

My highlights:

Infected Mushroom @ Metro - This was by far the best party on Labour Day Eve. IM completely blew my mind. :eyes:
Chris Fortier @ Private Function, Platform One - The whole spectrum of deep progressive music, finishing with Sarah McLachlan, James Holden, the Chems and the Killers. Top stuff.
Habersham & Numinous @ Sunny, Brown Alley - Normally their style of prog/breaks is not my thing, but it was twisted and delicious, served up with a great Sunny vibe.
BT @ Godskitchen - A great party set. He played to the masses, and the masses loved it. Love Comes Again ftw!!!
Astrix & Protoculture @ Earthcore - Blissful, driving, uplifting and a little bit different. Uplifting trance without the same old sounds.
