Some people have bad times at shows that you like. Deal with it.
If I was forced to spend a night out with G&D or ATB, trust me, I wouldn't love it. |
Geez, I sound kinda hostile, but I'm not really hostile in real life.
Some things aren't so horrible.

| Tiesto played Like a Waterfall. I dont recall him playing tracking treasure down. I enjoyed the night. KT rocked it as always. Amazing tracks and mixing. I thought Tiesto was fun. Its a nice change of pace from Armin and Markus. His mixing was good for him. No trainwrecks or anything of that sort. Thought he should have interacted with the crowd a lot more but I think he was trying to make his mixing as good as possible so was busy working the decks the whole time. It was a good vibe and fun to have that many people just going nuts to Trance together. In Indy we have nothing of that sort....Great times all around. Had fun hanging out with you Mike on friday. Def learned a lot in the studio and still have a TON to learn. Haha.....overall great trip.... |

yeah, last night....:disbelief having seen him around the globe...and my 3rd time in chicago... haven't seen him since june (where he was in a club)... but i must say, this was more of a concert than a party.... to listen to HIS tracks that he and co. produced..... especially after we heard olympic flame :o i was so bummed...
his set was TOO predictable b/c the crowd was well..uneducated about dance music and prolly only has heard his stuff, no one else's... he played some good tracks... too uplifting imo... i was writing all the trax in my phone and then my thing got erased...so here's what i remember:
mark norman - touchdown
mark norman - ID
airwave - air for life
allure - love we lost
marcel woods - advanced
palma solane - estuera
g&d - tracking treasure down
tiesto - flight643 (sigh...)
villa and coca - la noche
uhmm...and the rest i will remember later...
what was that ridiculous track he played, some american hit? i was like..omg.....sigh...
having said this: his set was TOO short, way too predictable...he needs to play small clubs again where he can improvise more and not think of the masses... but alas, that time has gone... would i go see him again? only if he plays in chicago @ millennium park..for an EXTENDED set...(ticket stubs claimed this was an extended set...pphwa)
i guess i got in a bad mood cuz ppl started throwing vodka red bulls from the balcony (or somwhere) and one of them landed exactly on my head and i was completely drenched, let alone the stinging the vodka did to my sweaty face...
But you know what, his goal is to bring dance music to everyone, and imo..he is accomplishing that for the next generation... I see ppl here in Chicago to start to accept electronic music WAY more than when I first moved here... |
I know its late but from what I can remember:
1 -mark norman - touchdown
(forgot)
3 -Tiesto - Just Be
airwave - air for life
Tiesto - Love Comes Again
Gabriel & Dresden - Tracking Treasure Down
allure - love we lost
palma solane - estuera
id
id (progressive with a low humming bass)
Purple Haze - Eden
villa and coca - la noche
SolarStone feat jes - Like a waterfall
Tiesto - Heroes
encore:
The Killers - Mr. Brightside (id mix, was not jacques lu cont thin white duke mixes)
Tiesto - Flight 643
Marcel Woods - Advanced
I know I'm missing at least 10 songs, 6-7 of them songs were new to me |
