i suppose it was made for the UT community... but overall I think guys who havent played UT would like the vid... probably not as much as we do... The frags in it are insane in terms of level of difficulty.

Jester was a ing freak ( no not that sort of freak ) mangz... :c beating him 1/100 duels is something I would look at quite highly. As for your DM sk1llz eye no how good they are... you were probably the best DM player in ADA. I suppose being aggressive in DM is far more important than tricky bull

Hahahahahaha I left FrEaKs c0z they were bagging Jester in our forums, that mangz... Hes one cool ing dude, I wasn't going to be part of that ... There was one "gun player" from NZ who played in FrEaKs who dueled Jester in UT2003 and beat him... he posted a screeny in the "screeny section" of the forum and then proceeded to say how he was... and then others in started to jump on the bandwagon... Funny thing was when I was on a server that "gun player" jumped on ( while I had the ADA tag on ) and I dueled him (UT2004)... He had his ass handed to him and then midway through said he had to leave... Must have had a nice warm cup of QUITRAGE! |

im hard to please with my racing games. im one of the few racers that likes the thin line between sim & arcade. i no longer have the time or patience to spend several hours fine tuning my Champ Car for the 67 laps of the gold coast indy. whoa, are these tyres gonna last the race or should i replace them with harder ones and save a few seconds in the pits? -used to be fun. now i wanna jump into a car and just race.
now, forget your bull NFSU series. im talking about proper racing. you know, where you cant just ride a corner all the way round and be rewarded for your ness. i want proper braking zones & penalties for running wide. but i dont want to lose a race coz i made a mistake on the first turn.
mmmmmm, TOCA 3!
this game is great. first off, it covers over 35 different racing classes across a wealth of disciplines. off the top of my head there are GTs, ovals, open wheels, classic, off road, honda and a few others. its like 10 different racing games in one. its a blast jumping into carts and then stepping onto the brickyard to try out at the indy 500. tho moving from one car to the next has its own problems, hehe! those indy cars dont like hitting the walls the same as the carts funnily enough...
there are so many different types of racing id be here all day trying to cover them all, but just realise that theres almost certainly something in this for you. im only playing it on the normal difficulty with the \'sim\' mode off for now, and its a decent challenge at first. shouldnt take you too many replays before youre well ahead of the AI cars tho, depending on the length of the track really. the sim options allow for more difficult handling & terrain effects. the handling essentially makes the cars heavier & more sluggish as well as less forgiving. i was thrashing it around in the US dirt series and it was pretty difficult. well, for me at least ;)
sound is pretty standard, theres only so much you can do with a racing game after all. but i can tell you the indy cars sounded pretty sweet :) graphics are nothing special, indeed the backdrops are pretty ordinary once you slow down, but who gives a really? the other cars all look great, if a little stale. they dont have that shiny finish you might see in other racers. still, thats not really important to me.
if youre like me and an impatient , theres a trainer (PC) you can download so you can unlock all the cars & competitions. im ing sick and tired of this whole unlocking bull. i bought the ing game, allow me to play it my way ffs. man it s me off. oh, and this game runs starforce protection, so unless you really know what youre doing id recommend buying the game. i got mine for only $45 from the UK including delivery.
1 bug ive found is that every 30 mins or so theres a 3-4 second pause for some reason. might be just my system tho. can be a bit unfortunate tho depending on whats happening at the time.
without a doubt one of the best racing games out there. if youre like me and are completely ing over the repetitive street racing thats being shoved down our throats, this game could be for you. probably not realistic and difficult enough for the sim purist, however theres plenty of fun & feelings of reward for those of us a lil less hardcore. a damage model is included which can be frustrating, but again this rewards you for taking turns cleanly. lots of options to fine-tune your race and your car to suit your needs.
cant wait to fix the clamp on my steering wheel and take this puppy for a spin the way it was intended.
anywayz, i could go on all day about how much fun this game is...
4 1/2 bumpers out of 5. |

well, in the NFSU series it was often faster and more efficient to ignore braking and simply ride the car around the corner on the 'walls' of the track. whereas in TOCA walls slow you down and/or spin you around as well as deliver damage to your car. |
