Zal men review van Inwardgaze hier ook maar posten ;)
K took me some time, but you have to listen to an album a couple of times imo +
had some things to do this week, anyway here's my review :)
Intro:
Track 1: Life [4:48]
Opening track of the album begins with a subtle, gentle intro. Some good percussion in it.
In short nice album starter
Track 2: Smokey Room featuring Elena Mady (Album edit) [6:16]
Like the melody alot of this one, no idea what to think of the vocals thou
Track 3: Autumn Falls [3:46]
After the intro it starts with a regular 4/4 beat, after a while the tempo suddenly changes,
,deep tune with some breaky elements, surprizing tune to say at least.
Track 4: Garden Of Hope [2:45]
Chill-outer, great ambience to it, lay back and enjoy
Track 5: Miami Nice [6:50]
Mixed feelings about 5 imo, intro is nice again imo,deeper tune, but not really feeling
this one, bit to monotonous for my liking
Track 6: The Orion Theme [3:19]
The Orion Theme we allready know kinda,it's a rework of the
main theme of the original Orion track released in 2003 on JOOF.
On this album The Orion theme features as an ambiant/chill-out track,
a long intro and outro was added I guess, nothing mind blowing,
but the Orion Theme stands out for itself, that's for sure.
Prefer the original Orion above this ambient though.
Track 7: Destination [4:48]
Again proggier tune, def. not something for breakfast,
complicated one, lots of layers again,intriguing tune,
title kinda explains the track perfectly imo,
difficult to explain tho ..

Track 8: Panic Mode [8:03]
Miika allready send me an early version of this track mid May,
first thing that caught my attention was the subtle layered intro.
Have the feeling that he changed something but can't really
put my finger on it.
Oh well this is defintly a wicked track,breaths pure evil,
big-time dancefloor material :D
Track 9: Sonic Kiss [8:21]
Sonic Kiss as featered on his Atmosphere E.P.(Dark Disc) released last year,
there's not much to say about this anymore imo,
Atmosphere E.P. (dark & light)was best release for me last year, at least in my book.
Opened a whole new world for me, that there is more than the regular supersaw/ASOT-sound,
therefor it obtained a special place in my heart.
Track 10: Pandemia [7:11]
Could it be that this track appeared in a GTG before (Chris/Miika ?? ;) ),
I'm sure I heard this track before.
Ontopic: This track itself, kicks off with a very nice intro again,
lots of layers, nice melody, really really high quality track
Track 11: Twisted (Miika's Alternative Mix) [8.49]
Same comment as for Sonic Kiss, diggin the new synth,not bad,nice alternative,
but still prefer the original, which is a bit rawer.
Track 12: Sirius [4:32]
Last track and what a tune of to end an album with,
from the the samples earlier I thought it had a great potential allready,
now that I heard the whole track it's nothing short of spectacular.
It's maybe not your typical dancefloor track but yet so beautiful,
,intro is a beauty again,4 minutes and a half of pure emotion,
gives me cold shivers literally.
Conclusion:
Lots of little subtleties in all these tracks,
the intro's of some tracks are really a work of art, lots of diverse influences
I'm not saying all the tracks will become classics instandly,
but you can hear Miika put some hard work in this artist album,
no half-arsed job at all, quality artist album.
edit: had not paid attention to it first but the first 5 couple of tracks
flow perfectly into eachother, kinda nice :)

This track is truly amazing, it grabs you from the first second and won't let you go till it's done, hypnotic melody, amazing drive.
Dancefloor bomb !!!!!
B1.Miika Kuisma Remix
While the original is more about the drive, Miika's version focuses on the melody and the synths, some nice tomtom percussion & other effects were added, again very good intro. Good remix
Conclusion: Strong package, a driving original combined with a melody driven mix on the flip

God... hoe blijft Fred het doen :). Deze 3 tracks horen samen omdat ze vrij goed op mekaar trekken maar ze zijn stuk voor stuk wel héél erg sterk. Wederom wordt een sterke tech-trance baslijn vergezelt van een geniale break en een lekker stampende climax. Deze tracks zijn echt om te flippen :p

Luminary - Amsterdam [Anjunabeats - 30/01/2006]
A1: Luminary - Amsterdam (Original Mix)
Yes; de nieuwe Luminary is er. Wordt al een tijdje gespeeld in a state of trance en is dat zeker waard. Deze track is donker, gaat weer vrij diepn en heeft mooie ondersteunde vocals zoals we van Luminary gewend zijn. Very decent tune

B1: Luminary - Amsterdam (Smith & Pledger Remix)
Geen Andy Moor remix deze keer maar een Smith & Pledger remix. I'm very pleased with this change. Deze tune behoudt de prachtige vocals en steekt er een heel subtiele maar lekker happy trancedeuntje in. In z'n geheel is deze plaat dan ook enorm aangenaam om naar te luisteren en eveneens een aanrader voor op de dansvloer.

Galen Behr - Time Will Tell / Eye Of The Storm [Yakuza - 11/11/2005]
A1: Galen Behr - Time Will Tell
Leuk deuntje van Galen Behr (zou dit eigenlijk niet "Geilen Beer" willen zeggen als ge da in't engels uitspreekt ? :p) a.k.a. Passiva. Het is best een origineel melodietje; maar er zit ook maar weinig variatie in de track. Vrij standaard van opbouw; but it's worth a listen

B1: Galen Behr - Eye Of The Storm.
Deze track begint al veel energieker. Dit nummer heeft een leuke percussie in z'n intro, die tot aan de break toch niet zo héél veel voorstelt. Ook hier is het melodietje wel origineel gecomponeerd maar er wordt te weinig mee gedaan om van een goeie track te kunnen spreken. We wachten dan maar tot iemand het remixed zeker?

Solar Stone - Eastern Sea (Disc 3) [Solaris- 27/11/2005]
A1: Solar Stone - Eastern Sea (Alex Morph Vs. Scirocco Mix)
Hmm Alex kan toch beter dan dit hoor. Dit is een zeer slechte remix van deze track. Het tipt in de verste verten nog niet aan de First State remix. Er wordt een goede basis gelegd, maar alleen de break is mooi; de rest is saai en eentonig. Ook de hoofdmelodie wordt geen eer aangedaan.

Tranzy intro maar saaie afwerking. Dit soort tracks is wat trance nu eens ziek maakt. Standaard, niet origineel... smijt het dan toch nie op de markt !

Mark Norman - Touchdown / False Vegas [Magik Muzik 29/11/2005]
A1: Mark Norman - Touchdown
Hehe, iedereen weet wel dat ik iets met deze track heb :D. Kzal dan eens een enorm subjectieve review doen :p. Die Mark Norman baslijn blijft het wel doen voor me. De intro van deze track is één van de sterkste die ik al gehoord heb. Dit mondt uit in een break die me kippenvel geeft en daarna barst de track los. Het vreemde aan deze track is dat ik de intro even sterk vind als het midden zelf :). Maar omdat de perfectie niet bestaat geef ik het maar een

B1: Mark Norman - False Vegas
Lekker keihard dit nummer. Again in de uitgesproken Mark Norman style. In deze track moet je het puur van de bas hebben want ze is wel vrij eentonig. Maar als je je verstand effe op nul zet, gewoon gaan.
