last WC a number of stations had rights, including pay tv obviously. from memory channel 9 showed a few games.

That would be right. Typical of people to 'suddenly jump on the bandwagon because Australia have made it'. To think some people were even hating soccer before yesterday's game. Pfft

do you have a link to support that? coz based on SBS's power (ie money) i would say thats almost certainly incorrect. especially now that australia have made it. last time i think there was a sharing arrangement, with the commercial station buying all the 'big' games.
id like sbs to have it to avoid the laughable commentators 9 (i think it was 9) had last time round. but ultimately as long as its on free to air thats whats most important. unlike euro 2004 :mad: |
