Sensational!!!! I swear Johnny Warren must have been watching over the Australian goals last night, there were so many times that I thought Uraguay would score. I could not believe Reycoba missed in the first half and also that Morales missed at the end.
What a game, Guus Hiddink should become an honourary Australian, his coaching last night was brilliant. Two minutes after Harry Kewell comes on we score in some of the best play I have ever seen Australia pull off and John Aloisi scores the winning penalty. I could not believe that he subbed Bresciano off, but it paid dividends.
In four months of coaching Australia he has gotten them to the World Cup, imagine what he can do in the seven months leading up to the World Cup.
What about the atmosphere at the game? You could hear everything at home and the crowd gave Uraguay heaps. You could just tell, after Bresciano scored that Uraguay finally realised that Australia really could play and that they were going to beat them.
And to Reycoba's comment about it being Uraguay's god given right to play in the World Cup can go F&*k Off!!! Stick it up em Auzzies. |
