Yeah well I will drop 15 on a piece of vinyl (where the hell are you shopping??) and get 2-3 tracks out of it and all of them playable if not slamming.
BTW, your set in winnipeg at serendipity was rather obnoxious. No offense. It just DRAAAAAGGGED on for way too long in the same bizarre sound scape.
I generally don't bash other DJs directly by name, but I actually was bothered by it when I was there, as I was playing in the same tent earlier that night with people in it. It was a miserable morning weatherwise and you only added to it. |

there is nothing wrong with using digital media in your sets. it is definitely the wave of the future and i am looking into getting into that myself.
with technology like it is today, cd decks imitating almost everything a turntable can do (and more), why should we not favor it? at my last gig, phu and i brought only cd's inside. why? because its easier and lighter to carry and it was disposable after our set was done allowing us to party freely.
as far as the original topic goes, its a touchy subject. while not wanting to remove freedom of speech, i do agree that excessive single word posts such as "lol" or "ok" for pages on is riding along the edge. if most of it is confined into one thread that was meant for it, i'm fine with that. i only asked that people would take a little consideration before turning a non-spam thread into a full-out chatroom about anything other than the original topic. i don't think i'm being too unreasonable here. |
