If you were at the Mark back in March you will remember one of the BEST sets to ever hit that club and even Atlanta in quite a while. Join us next Friday as we welcome Jimmy Van M back from his new residence of Barcelona Spain for an unforgettable night of music.
Along with Jimmy’s set there will be a special light production as his close friend, the light programmer from Twilo, NY runs the lights for him during his set!

Jimmy Van M's career received a tremendous boost when superstar duo Sasha and Digweed chose him to open their remarkably successful Twilo residency in New York. Before this late-'90s break, Van M had built his reputation in Orlando, FL, where he first heard progressive house in the early '90s.
By early 1992, he was making guest appearances at Orlando's Beacham Theater, alongside other pioneering American trance DJs such as Kimball Collins. Over the years, his popularity grew in the trance-happy Florida area, cumulating in his decision to found Balance Promote Group, a DJ booking agency focused on many of Europe's top trance DJs.
In addition to Balance Jimmy has also released critically acclaimed singles like "Love Like Sleep" and "Sanctuary," along with the best-selling mix compilations like Ultra’s Trance Nation America (with Taylor) and the second instalment in the Bedrock mix series. This year, fans can expect more exemplary production work and a new mix CD. They can also catch Jimmy opening for Sasha and John Digweed on the Delta Heavy Spring 2002 Tour.
The largest DJ tour of its kind to ever hit North America, the Delta Heavy tour remains true to Jimmy’s roots. Not only will the tour hit cities he, Sasha and John have yet to play in, the scale of Delta Heavy’s production and innovation will help set a new benchmark in DJ, club and dance culture

Yes every weekend event is 21+.
BTW - I am also working on making this a 3 hour set. When we had him here last he serioulsy played one of the best sets to ever hit the Mark.

Out of the handful of dj's i've seen without knowing anything of their musical career...i.e....never heard a mix, a production, or even a live set..
..only two dj's have impressed me when I saw them live with a sense of total ignorance as to the level of their performance:
1. Christopher Lawrence
and
2. Jimmy Van M
I highly recommend going. ;) |
