First of all i had only heard about 2 sets from Cox before, and i had seen Mark Lewis at ultra this year, he had the whole tent jumping. so i kind of really wanted to see Mark Lewis, i didn't really know what to expect from carl cox. Mark Lewis was freaking awsome, especially at the begining of his set like at 10:10 around there, which there was nobody there, i guess people didn't know who Mark Lewis was. i think the first 2 people came in at like 10:20. anyways i am very glad i got to see mark lewis, everything i expected and more.
then carl cox came in at like 12:05 or around there, by this time there was a lot of people, all hyped up about cox. at the begining i was just jamming and i was tired from dancing to Lewis, but i was moving, most of what carl threw down i didn't recognize, it sound it to me like tech-house, especially towards the end of the set. ok so i sit down a couple of times, listening, and like around 2:05 i said ok i heard enough and i am tired so i am going to get going, then i just couldn't leave, that tech-house started getting better, so then it just hit me and i started dancing mad, jumping and crazy, i couldn't stop, it just got better and better, and then cox started really dropping it down the songs, ( i don't really know how to explain it) is just when he lets it go and drops down the bass, man that was nuts he did that like 4-5 times. i am telling u guys if he does that at space in miami with their system, wow it would probably pop ur heart out. anyways it was freaking awsome, really good, really had fun.
i only saw clubgodess there from ta, i don't really know the rest of you by face, she went to the vip in the stage, and got some close pics of carl cox, hope she posts them. i have been to orlando to see seb fontain, and sander, then i have been to hob to see deepdish, and i always see clubgodess there, also saw her in miami for armin, i never knew she was a ta, before i joined, that just a though that came to me right now. alright enough, maybe this review is not that good i am thinking, its my first time writting one, and i did so because of what carl cox did to me yesterday so. all right i am done, sorry for the long review. |

hey nice review. You should have come and said hello though. You're right about this set, it was my first time seeing Carl. Man that guy is crazy, he is all over that mixer, constantly moving, constantly doing something. When I walked in he was playing

I honestly only recognized one other track, but I couldnt ID it grrr. His set started real housy, then got bangin hard electro technoish. It was GREAT.
The Underground definately is a great club. I like how they are bringing in some big names. The main room is HUGE and has that cool, dark atmosphere, great lighting and decent sound system, there are I think 3 other rooms? I noticed though, that Carl was playing on the stage, which I didnt even know they had until last night. I kinda like seeing dj's play in a regular booth, and their booth is nice cuz its not too high, its somewhat big, and has a big mirror behind it. Im not a big fan of the whole "stage performance" set up. I loved his set and Id love to get a hold of others. But Carl, it might have been nice for you to, instead of walking off the stage the second you were done, to meet your fans who were 5 feet from you with pens and flyers. Just a thought ;)
I did get some great shots, but I need to lighten them up. They were either too smokey with the flash or too dark without. I will post once I do, a couple vids too. It was good to see Jesse, till next time!! Paul, always a blast!!!
And Ian, whoever you were, dont ever get in my face and threaten me again, kthxbye ;)

| I totally agree that Carl Cox threw it down proper. His set was sick. yes please post some pics because after i left the club i had my camera stolen from my house. Along with pics |

I heard from a few people that were there and they said they got pictures with him afterwards he must stayed around longer |
