  • Get a piece of paper and jot down which sounds are the most important... the ones you wanna stand out.
  • The other sounds you want to blend in your mix apply your reverb till it sounds good.... but the ones you want up the front of your mix make the reverb times shorter... so the sounds are tight in the mix.
  • Also draw on a piece of paper where you want your sounds to be in the mix.... and then pan those sounds accordingly.




    ^ The above application can be used in both surround sound mixing and normal mixing... Its a decent visual guide to where your sounds are going...

    More Tips:

  • Keep bassline and kick in mono if you want your tunes to be pressed... and because I know you use FLStudio... i know FLstudio doesnt have that capability built in so you can either use the above application or use this:
