sorry - it was a crazy ass night
got to the club around 11 pm - no problems getting into the club, but when i got inside it was already getting full of ppl and it was DARK - could barely see anyone. took me a while to find my friends who were slowing arriving. john's set sounded good, but we went to the round bar to hear a friend spin for a bit and then headed back out to the main room. we were right up front for a bit, but i had to leave cuz i felt like a ball in a pinball machine - way too many tall ppl in front.
i love how richie builds it, builds it and then almost deconstructs the track to its simple bassline - he was definitely playing with the crowd on friday night and it was eating it up! haven't seen sound bar so packed in my life (wasn't there for sasha or pvd). there wasn't even room to dance to the left or right of the poles. ended up finding some room in the back near the bathrooms.
can't wait to check out DE9 and for him to come back to chicago - he's tall and blonde - what more could a girl ask for?
apologies to d&g girl - didn't get your txt msgs until the next morning when i was finally passing out from afters. good to see glass out - i think those were the only ta's to venture out on friday night. |
