Just wanted to say that it was great meeting many of you guys at the show and Thank you to everyone who joined us to party up in the Penthouse... solid night all around.

I personally loved Steve's set, the last hour was completely on point. Hearing Moby - Go was also a nice suprise to end the night. ;)

Hope to see many of you out again soon!

Lawler's set was great. it started off strong, the middle was alright, and the end was fantastic. there was about an hour or so where he was just playing straight tribal, lots of long repetitive tunes that didn't go anywhere and didn't have a really pronounced melody. as much as i just wanted to hear chugging electrohouse all night long, i think his set was really wonderful and it kept the crowd dancing until the very end (myself included). he played a lot of tracks i recognized, too lazy to ID any of them right now but i'll try to list as many as i can think of later. there was one track i've heard before but i can't think of the name - it's got male vocals and the lyrics are "can you feel that sound, that obsessive sound" (i think??)... i need to find out what song that is. he didn't play The Conjure which i was kind of disappointed about. i know he's been playing that track in almost all of his sets lately and i was really hoping he would close with it. the 2nd to last song was really sweet but i think the last song wasn't all that great. it felt like kind of a weak way to end the set and it made me think "ok, time to go home"... then again by 4:45 i was just insanely exhausted so i was beyond ready to leave by then anyway.

i think altogether i was expecting a LOT more from Lawler. i wasn't disappointed at all, i just went into the night thinking "omg this is going to be sooooo amazing!" and it's not that it wasn't, it was just not exactly what i expected. his mixing is very solid but it's pretty basic, and he's not extremely entertaining to watch. he seemed like he was pissed off or bothered by something for most of the night. although i do have to say the high point of the night for me was when he blew me a kiss when he saw my lawlergasm shirt... :D

Sean Miller's opening set seemed pretty good from what i heard. not too in your face, it was perfect stuff to hear from an opener.

Mike - i really dug the set you were spinning up in the penthouse. that was the first time i've heard you spin and i really enjoyed it. your selection of tunes is just the kind of stuff i dig. good job and i look forward to checking you out again sometime.

the Halloween decorations looked pretty sweet, but they were really annoyingly restrictive when it comes to observing the crowd and the DJ. although i guess it's probably a better thing that i wasn't able to see the crowd because most of them looked pretty cracked out anyway, lol.

always great to see all the TAs out, even though we were all off in our own worlds all night. there was a big TA presence there and that's always a good thing. Rob and i stayed until the end and didn't really get to say bye to a lot of people but i hope you all had a great night and i hope you all made it home safe.

now... time for me to crash and recover. last night was definitely one of the best nights out this year, musically and socially... but i think now i need to take a little break from going out in Chicago before i wreck myself.

lawlergasms FTW!!!

+1 - It's the same review I would have written if I wasn't cracked the out on the living room floor at that hour of the morning...

Mike, your set was great...

James, it was really nice to see you again...

Christen and Kristin: Always a pleasure to see you girls... the TA's were scattered about the club that night...

Yuris: As always, you appearred to have a phenomenal time... Good to see you man..

Juliet: Great to see you again, too bad you couldn't make it all the way through...

And to the Detroit kids: WOW! Was I ever shocked and amazed to see you kids on Saturday, it was insane! So good to see Mathias, Mike, Derek, Mike, and everyone else again... I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Derek when we got there, and when he said "Mathias is running around here somewhere" I knew it was going to be an interesting night... great to catch up with everyone again, can't wait to get back to Detroit again!

And now... it's time for a much needed break from Chicago... Phew!

Hey guys. Thanks for coming out to the Penthouse on Saturday. Thats the best its been up there! Glad you guys liked it. Definitely good to finally meet a lot of you!

I thought Lawler was great. Bassline after bassline. Dark and dirty. Just booming. Couldnt stop dancing the whole night. Definitely loved hearing Planet Funk - Stop Me (King Unique Dub). Ive played this one out many times but have never been on the dancefloor for it....

Oh, and afters...what can I say? :eyes:

Hope to see you guys out again soon.

Came to Chicago for the first time sat night. Vision was def one of the weirdest clubs i've been too. I liked how how they had so much seating on every floor, so diff compared to NYC clubs. The club itself had a very space/terrace vibe. I don't think i saw one bouncer all night haha. It was def a pleasure to club in Chicago, i saw no old asians-shirtless guidos- or fights :haha: . Saw lawler the night before in NYC too, he played pretty much the same stuff, loved the tribal towards the end:crazy: Wish i had more time to check out soundbar and crobar too. I'll put up some pics later
