Reason 3.0 Mastering suite
aliendj
Does anyone have a trance preset for Reason 3.0 Mastering suite?

thanks!!!
RiCo
Sure, let me go get it. It's awesome, because you just load any trance track you made, no matter how badly mixed, and it'll fix everything for you so it'll sound professional.

Took me a second to realize it was joke.
Dont hope for other types of answers lol except maybe experiment and try yourself

As already said - EXPERIMENT!

Really the Mastering Suite isn't suppose to change the sound radically, it is designed for refining the sound and making the last nessesary tweaks. And those nessesities change from tune to tune.

Tweak around, find out what the different buttons does, and then at last, you can make it sound like you like it.

yep..

dont use presets to mastering..

open that regular base with eq... compressor..limiter.. stereo spread..

use compressors range near 2-3:1..(soft knee) and tweak.. att and rel knobs..

tweak stereo and eq ..when it's sounds good :D

when all this is made.. finally set limiter value..

it pretends what music you are doing.. in green bars are hitting hardly down..the you can hear hard pumping effect.. wich is good for house music.. but in trance or other elect.. i recommend slightly green light usage.. even for none..

so control that with inputgain.....then increase outputgain until it's enough loud and not distorting at all.... finally activate.. smoothdistortion button.. or was it soft dis.. whateva,,,

Actually it sounds fine to me (I already did some searches about it) but simply I wanted to compare , here is what it looks like:

sorry the compressor should not be "bypass" -ed
hardikaveri
that 1 looks good..

but...

as you mentioned.. all devices should be "on" not bypass....

i personally use fast attack @ limiter but i cant say if i cant hear the difference

and i wondering that stereospreading to low freqs.. are you sure that this sounds good.. becouse i personally dont spread bass that mutch.. but i cant judge if i cant hear.. so....

:D

At least, Im really happy with this post, I found my error in mastering. which is stereospreading to low freqs, I set it to 0 & sounds really much better, the "fast" limiter is better too!

I will keep trying, thanks very much!
