Wildchild 3rd Birthday 29th October

FirstBorn
I was very impressed with Wildchild. Saturday was actually the first time I'd ever stepped foot inside the SE1 and I had a great time. My friends and I arrived at what we thought would be quite a late hour (after midnight) and feared a huge queue but we were inside within five minutes and there were no cloakroom queues to speak of at all, both when we arrived and when we were leaving.

The main danger with events of this size is that you can't hope to see everyone you want to, and in the end we spent the time mainly moving between the three trance rooms. Nu-NRG in the main arena were superb, then a decent classics set from JFK in the stiflingly-hot Trance Generation room, before heading to the BBL arena for the set of the night from Adam White, and finally ending up back in the TG room for Ian Betts b2b w/ Anthony Dean. Great sets all round from those I saw and, it has to be said, in moving between rooms, the standard of music from everyone involved seemed to be incredibly high.

I can't think of too many complaints although it would've been nice to have each room/arena more clearly labelled and there were no set times posted anywhere (from reading other people's posts, it sounds like there were set lists which you could buy although I didn't see these), and some of the rooms were swelteringly hot. However, these really are minor complains and congratulations are due to Wildchild for a great party. Nice one! :)
