Slinky - Halloween Ball 28/09 - J00f, Graham Gold,Sheridan, Sander van Doorn + more

moondog
a good night was had, good to meet all of you/see you all again. Cheers for sorting us out stu, much appreciated.

Music - no warm up sets at slinky, (not that thats a bad thing, they're just boring), we were treated to DK8 - murder was the bass just as we walked through the doors. o'callaghan went on to play marcel woods - advanced, and marco v - false light (:p @ Lam).
Went up to the (small but nice) VIP room for a bit where there was some technoey electroey breaksey stuff (its not trance, i dont know :o )where we saw stu cox playing a set, not really my thing, but it was quite listenable to (at least it weren't boring prog ), good effort fella. Sander started off quite well (anyone know what he opened with?, i must have that tune), but like Fi said, it was a bit samey and got a bit boring after a while, he played a lot of stuff that i didnt know, and played advanced again towards the end of his set. J00f blew my nuts off as usual, his sound is so danceable to in a club, even when you're stone cold sober (like i was). He played astrix - fire(heavy guitar riff tune), and that remix of hey boy, hey girl he always plays. Saw Isoterra down the front dancing like an absolute nutbar, had a quick chat with him. Had to leave at the end of J00f's set though, as i though slinky closed at 3, and had booked my coach for 5.

Overall, liek the venue, nicely air conditioned towards the rear of the main room, although the sound was a little weak back there. Nice, friendly staff (always a good thing), and some decent (and some not so decent) eye candy to stare at. Would deffo go again

going to bed now for a couple of hours, to prepare for wildchild tonight, i'll have some pics up at some point when i get round to doing them

wicked night, svd was the highlight for me, had me dancing a little too overenthusiastically (i'm on a comedown & that word looked better in my head) as rick can probably vouch for :p

enjoyed joof muchly too, joc & graham were average but played enough good stuff to be passable

thought sheridan was a bit wank

love the venue though, first time i'd been. has that old feel about it without seeming tatty, decor was awesome too but wtf went wrong with the laser? think i saw it on one tune throughout the whole night
moondog
yeah, the laser came on for about 10 secs near the start of sanders set, and that was all we saw of it:(
