There were two versions of FF IV released, the original or "hard type" was the Japanese release, when they released the American version it was significantly dumbed down, some story elements were taken out, and the difficulty was reduced. The remade game was released in the States as FF2 & in Japan as FFIV Easy Type....
This isn't to say that FF2 was a bad game, in fact the opposite is quite true, however, if you played through FF2 and liked it you should get an emu and a translated version of the true Japanese original... totally worth it.... |
