| I know there isn't much of anything going on anywhere on Wednesday nights but I'm here in austin for a few days and wanted to see where the hotspots were to go in Austin. Any suggestions would be great. |

| Sorry for the non-specifics. Looking for some nightlife :). Bars, clubs. Over 21 here so no big deal. Distance isn't a problem but I'm over by 35 and parmer. |

The warehouse district (around 4th & Colorado) has tons of bars/clubs:
Cuba Libre on Colorado & 4thhas good tapas
Maiko (5th & Colarado) is more of a chillout place for good sushi.
Apple Bar (5th & Colorado) hella strong martinis.
Red Fez: good drinks, seating, usually people dancing.
Karma (7th & Colorado) good music. A bit dark (literally, little light).
or wander in the vicinity & you'll find 10 other bars you might like better.
If you want the "go out & get smashed" experience, go to 6th St around Neches.
More punk rock is Red River between 6th & 9th--Beerland, de Ville, Headhunters, Room 710. |
