Square Enix has announced that Romancing SaGa will ship to US retailers on October 11, 2005. The game, a remake of the original Super Famicom game Romancing SaGa, was released in Japan under the title Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song.
Romancing SaGa will be rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and will carry an MSRP of $39.99 USD.
Can't wait for this one. Played the import but couldnt get very far. |

| Nice, I was afraid there wasn't going to be a NA release. I hated Unlimited SaGa...but I really enjoyed Romancing SaGa 3 for the snes and the 2 SaGa Frontier games for ps. |

See, everyone hated Unlimited SaGa, but if it had a World Map, then people would like it. The music was good and the battle system was something new. My only gripes were the way they went about when you had to travel through the dungeons and the fights being significantly hard. Now that I remember, to this day, I still haven't beaten one story. Think the closest was Lara :tongue2
But aside from that, I was playing the import of Minstrel Song. There's a World Map ( :tongue2 ) and the battle looks good. Reminds me of SaGa Frontier 1, the good ol' days. |

Same situation here...I TRIED to play the game 5 times, but it wasn't the "board maps" that bothered me...it was the ridiculous difficulty...in some areas the enemies were extremely easy, and then all of a sudden I encounter impossible to defeat foes...really uneven if you ask me.
I'm hyped for Minstrel Song though, the graphics are very appealing to me; I'm a fan of the weird artwork :) |
