Hello my fellow TA's!!
As some of you already know, under certain circumstances I'll not be able to attend the crazy party this saturday (never mind that but friday for andy moor as well) :(
My flight leaves friday night for Europe for a couple of days and so that means no Moor and no Lawler. But some things are just more important in life I guess.
Anywayz, to all those who wanted free lawler tickets for saturday, here's the deal. If you live or will be at any point between now and this friday, anywhere close to Richmond Hill (where i live) or york university (my second home), you could try calling my cell (416-230-5392) to pick them up. I will also be giving away a large chunk to Andrea aka Spitty (chanoa) and prolly Nada (iLLnada) and Tyler (trancegrooves) if they decide to go to this event. So if you know them then I'm sure they'll save you a ticket.
Info regarding tickets: You MUST be there before 11pm to get in for FREE. Entrance is through the Deluxe room, which is in between the guv's entrance and koolhaus. You're gonna have to stay and party there for an hour before they open the doors at 12:00pm for an entire complex. But Lawler comes in at 2 so you have plenty of time and I'm sure Sean Miller will come on at 12 which is when they open the doors so you'll not miss anyone. Dress code is strict there i think but if you have a halloween costume then ur in no matter what u wear!!
Any other problems or questions just pm me and i'll try to respond when i can (not easy when u have 4 midterms this week!!). I hope everyone the best of times this party weekend, dance it up for me and stay out of trouble!! |

Hmmm interesting.
One of my buddies as a wack load of free tickets to the Delux Room before hand too. Are these things for real? How strict is strict? |

yes. and strict as in no running shoes or torn jeans. but remember with a halloween costume ur in. so they either want you to dress up well or wear a costume. |

i had all intentions of staying in last night. the gruv cruz is only 9-10 days away, i should save money, work has kicked my ass for 3+ weeks, excuse, excuse, yada yada youknowthadeal.....
i'm so glad i threw my better judgement in the trash. LAST NIGHT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!! Andre proves once again that Third Eye has the Midas touch when it comes to throwing a proper dance party. Sky was transformed into a different club. The sound was PERFECT; loud, balanced, and soooooo clean!!! i really dig the speaker upgrade!
Two words: SEAN MILLER. Remember this name, cause soon you're gonna be screaming it like he's your daddy. Kids who think they know house but don't know this guy, betta recognize. I heard him play a flawless opening set! This guy moved through all shades of house with a Jedi Knight's sense of programming and absolutely seamless mixing! i have a good friend who just moved from Columbia to Charlotte, who is the biggest house conneseur i know (this girl knows her shyt, and has no qualms about owning anyone in verse), and she danced her ass off from beginning to end! IMO BEST OPENING SET EVER. YES, EVER. Sean is now my favorite DJ, straight up. Just wait, he'll infect your mind too.
My 4th time hearing Mr. Lawler was everything i was expecting and a lot more!! There is a reason why he's one of the best. His sense of reading the crowd, track selection, and precision mixing, not to mention he's delivered ON POINT CONSISTANTLY every time i've heard him out. One of my idols from the first time i heard his NuBreed disc, and sets like last night will always keep me a disciple of the dark beat.
Thanks for Brooks, Dave, Jason Phillips, Harry, Jay, Brandon, Joe Sweeney, Gabby, and Sunny for making the night better! |
If Sean doesn't open up for Lawler, I'm going to be really pissed off. Every review I've read from Lawler's tour gives Sean this kind of praise. |
