Ok so i know you are all wondering about upcoming guests...
So here is the lowdown and the honest truth.
This week could be the last Life @ 140 Ever. But it probably wont.
But its possible.
The station begins renovations next week (late of course, but not the station's fault). There will be a new mixing board. Studio A setup will drastically change.... will this be a good thing?
Ive seen the plans... Probably not is the answer. The mixing board is more complex and Brand spanking new, which is good, and bad. Ill have to relearn everything, and so will vlado, and angelo, and mirka, and Caleb... im assuming Uxud will get it all faster than us seein gas he works at the station.
The setup is retarded, and not very dj friendly. I asked them to raise the tables and leave planety of space for devices... we will see i guess. Everythign is getting moved to the opposite wall above the heaters !!!? there will be a boom mike there, which is good. will there be enough space? Will the wiring be good?
Lets just say that everyone ive shown it to has been very skeptical.
If it is no good for djing, then that will be it. 4 years + will be done. There are definately older shows on CJSF, but for our genre it will hurt alot.
Until we know anything: this will be the last week that we can use studio A until september. I cant have guest djs in studio b, so ill probably go with some cds of guest mixes by various TAs and djs i've collected over the years. Should be SUPER LAME for me, but it will still sound great, so tune in. Ill also see if angelo or Krys feels like helping out during the weeks that A is closed (even thoguh angelo hates B just as much as us).
