Just like it sounds. :sadgreen:
If it weren't for Howard Jones running down the tube steps with a Prodigy strapped to him I'd probably never have got into fiddling with synths (and the resultant dance music infection) in the first place.
and its pronounced with an 'oh' sound, ie rhymes with rogue. from the man himself. |

| noticed this around the forums, had no idea who this guy was, then my dad told me he invented the synthesiser so i guess we should all pay our respects cause we wouldn't be here without him! well thats assuming of course that nobody else would have invented it if he didnt but anyways RIP. |

RIP :(
| quote: | Bob Moog, inventor of his namesake range of synthesizers and one of the most significant figures in the evolution of electronic music, died yesterday (Aug. 21) at his home in Asheville, N.C. He was 71. A native of N.Y., Moog was diagnosed with brain cancer in late April and had since undergone radiation treatment and chemotherapy.
After a decade of building theremins with his father, Moog created his prototype, the Moog Modular Synthesizer, in 1963 and unveiled it the following year at the Audio Engineering Society Convention. |
