so the Tiesto "Official After Party" "Officially" SUCKKKKED

we just got home from this "official" after party, and taht was the biggest waste of money and time ever in my life.
we left tiesto at 1245 (myreview of tiesto afte rthis) and drove to the 740 club which had its entrance in a dark smelly nasty alley first thing we notice is already a huge line WTF?!?!?!? Basically from there it was HELL on earth (isnt it ironic being a heaven/elemnt radio party) we get in the line for people who have presale tickets and we proceed to wait for an hour and half without barley moving a foot and actually by the time we had waited all this time, there was even MORE people in the lines and crowding, there was hundred of people outside with tickets and no one could evn get in WTFFFF then you see the guestlist line and evn they werent getting in
OMG thennn GET THIS ttt THEN they open up another line and basically tell people that if you pay 50 bux you can get in this shorter line and MAYBE get in so then we wait another hour and half, and still hardly any progress. :eek: :eek: :eek:
how the F**K do you sell presale tickets for a club and then not have enough room for the people taht bought tickets?? money hungry A**HOLES!!!
i'm sorry, but i know im not the only one who experienced this tonight. there were hundreds of others and so many people waited and waited and finally gave up
we had friends that came down from up north and from san diego and arizona!!!! and what the helll did they come for ??? to leave tiesto at 1245 and not get in to a event they have tickets for??? do these promoters even realize ???? how the hell can they do this to people?? ruin peoples night. kill peoples buzz. steal peoples money.
WTFever, we decided to leave and so we ended up having to go to avalon and spend even more money , but AT LEAST WE GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!
the thing is, that we didnt want to go to avalon. if we had wanted ot go to avalon, we would not have bought PRESALE tickets for the "OFFICAL AFTER PARTY" and we would have planned something different to do with our friends.
we wanted to see darey and second sun, but thanks to heaven and element radio and club 740 aka smells like alley, we did not get to see these guys because our tickets were not honored.
thats my review of "THE OFFICIAL TIESTO AFTERPARTY"
it sucked.
i dont care how good it was inside for the people taht got in, nbecause no one standing out in the ghetto alley who bought tickets deserved that crap. bad vibes. we will never go to another one of these events again. |

| Thank god I didn't go to that sh*thole. We drove all the way over there after Tiesto, but I made Simon drive me back home after 20 minutes of waiting in line (sorry simon. hope u had a good time when u went back there afterwards). There were just too many people pushing and shoving to get in, and the line wasn't moving at all. I was getting closterphobic. F*ck that. I'm not a big fan of Matt Darey anyway, and that venue was so trashy (atleast from the outside it was)... |

Yeah, I agree. They put all the people with pre-sale tickets and even hard tickets in the same line as everyone else. Then some lady screamed "$50 cash line this way, $25 cash line that way." So I went up to ask where I should be if I had pre-sale (previously charged through Wantickets.com) tickets. She replied "end of that line" (which was huge). :whip:
Finally got in after at least an hour waiting, had to pee like a racehorse so went right to the mens' bathroom and noticed a COMPLETELY EMPTY room that nobody was being allowed to enter! ...and I had thought the huge lines outside were due to the club being at occupancy! I vow never to visit this venue again unless the guests on 8/21 receive a major apology and a kept promise that it will never happen again! :mad:
End of rant. Second Sun gave an excellent live performance and really had the crowd worked up (er, the ones who were inside, at least)! The energy in the main room was phenomenal! :D
Matt Darey came on about an hour after I got in and was still playing at 6:45 a.m. when I left. Lot of new and many familiar wicked Trance tracks, he included "Liberation" and "Game Master" before he dove off a deep cliff into Hard House for the final hour. He seemed really psyched that the crowd had so much energy and seems everyone had hands in the air almost every song! :toocool: Nice to see the TA team there in full force too!
A bittersweet night...too bad the transition between Tiesto In Concert and the Advance party was such an ugly one! :whip: |

What else can I add to anything that's already been said? Let's see, if you were stuck in line for an hour or two, you missed a kid OD-ing on the floor and the speakers/power getting blown for a good 15 minutes.
Who else sucked. Oh that guy who was in charge of the lights. He lit the room bright bright so many times that these "moments of truth" grew kinda stale, and half of the time I thoughted that the party was over. |

| If you bought a presale and weren't allowed entry, just call up your credit card company and dispute the charges for services/goods not received. Hit them where it hurts. |

| I totaly agree with you that club and promoter are , just using Tiesto afterhour party to make some money. We waited maybe 1 hour and we left and I'm glad I did now cause to me it look really ty and unorganized. |

| I'm guessing the promoter isn't at fault, but probably the venue/security staff. Heaven seems to have a lot of respect on TA. |

IMO Heaven is becoming bull, I would hate to have this fiasco attached to my name if I was them. |

I had the greatest time ever. Hanging out with my fellow TAs always makes my nights the best. Tiesto was awesome, except that I couldn’t stand out in the crowd for too long cause I felt like I was being suffocated, and it would start to freak me out, so I mostly hung out backstage. I want to send a shout out to Starboy and his pretty lady. Meeting new TAs is so much fun, you guys are the coolest, nicest and cutest peeps. Thank you for making my night so much more fun. I hope you had a safe flight and are back at home right now getting some sleep. Come back soon, and you always have a place to stay in LA.
Yah the after party kind of took away my buzz at first, with the whole unorganized lines and stuff. But once I did get inside, OMFG, the night just got 10 times better. Matt kicked ass and I got to hang out with more of my TA buddies.
Thank you Heaven and Godskitchen / Element radio. You guys really made it happen for me last night. |
