Ok...before I begin, please let me say that I am SO SORRY this is happening, but it's totally beyond mine (or any anyone's) control.
I was asked about a month ago to coordinate a party for my friend whose property was being sold to a business for development. It was on his dime, on his land and all I was doing was inviting people and coordinating the DJ roster for him since he's not plugged into the scene.
This was going to be an event unlike any other of its kind, but unfortunately it cannot take place. My friend has informed me that due to LEGAL REASONS we cannot have this party.
Apparently, the land on which we were planning to have the party on has already changed hands and the business that has purchased it will be moving onto it unexpectedly. Due to liability reasons, we cannot have the party.
We're trying to think of an alternate location at which to have the party. We've already invited a ton of people and we are having a tough time trying to figure out an alternate location that can accommodate that many people.
If there was anything "I" could do, I would. I feel so terrible to have to bring you this news, but that is the unfortunate truth. If anyone has any suggestions as to where we could move this house party, I would be extremely grateful.
Please forgive me and try to understand I had no control over this unfortunate change of events.

I feel the same way. I owe everyone an apology. I was under the impression that this was a sure thing but things didn't turn out the way we'd planned. I was really looking forward to this and looking forward to meeting new TAs. Again, I'm sorry everybody. |
