Hey again guys,

Really got a flavour for producing some real dark stuff and this new track from me is no exception so would love some comments on this sample please so I can work on the rest of the track.

Sorry but your link doesn't work
DJ Balti
Hmm yeah the sitesled server is down which is a bit of a bitch. It's usually really relaiable though so should be back up soon. Please keep checking if you can. :) Cheers.

The links working again now :)

interesting track.
the bassline sounds like it is in the wrong key that your melody is in. honestly, its not for me. but dont get discouraged.
DJ Balti
Yeah, agreed the bassline is a definate problem, pointed out by a few others too. I don't really feel I can make this into much so will try and see if I can put the melody to another use in another track.

Thanks for taking a listen :)

Sorry, really don't like the bassline, but I like the lead. Or maybe the other way round ???

To be honest, I think that (for me) you have two seperate, potentially good elements in the bass and lead.

However.... when they are together, not so crash hot. My advice would be to keep one for later (ie another track) and concentrate on one element and build from there.

I guess what I am trying to say is you have the potential makings of two good tracks there.... but I don't feel they work together.

PS: Love the avatar ;)

Yea, the bass is outa key, but it has groove to it. I sugest, like you planned on doing, take out the lead in this song, try to make something a little less active, like just stabs on the base note, and maybe go from there, and take the lead and try to make a new track. But keep at it, you'll figure something out :)

Cheers

Thanks for the reviews people.

I've got my bassline and everything else in the mix all in key now though (should've sorted that out before :)) so will work on this one and post back soon hopefully, with the completion of the track also.

But as you guys have suggested, I will be trying out another project with the lead too as I do feel it has potential within another production.

Many thanks :)
