As far as the current topic...
I like the way Scott has his current sticky! I can see at a glance EVERYONES events. Kind of like a compact calender. I think Scott has done a good job of keeping it updated. I see no reason to change that! Post big events a month out if you like. But if it does not get carried on and falls to page 2, then don't bump till three weeks out! Believe me, we all stay in contact and know what is coming around the bend on the party circle... Trying it out can't hurt anyone but if it does fall to page 2, then we know that it was not needed.
On a side note: I do not see where this fear that "people will not know that the event is happening" is coming from! I mean both Jonathan and Devin know a large portion of the TAs. How many times has it ever been posted, "Damn, I forgot that that was happening!" or "If I only knew about it sooner!"? None that I have ever seen! SO until that starts to happen, keep booking the DJs and we will keep discussing your choice of who you are bringing and it will continue on like it currently is. Problem solved! :tongue3 Now time to go read Javi and Mario's drunk thread! :crazy: |

the only thing that really got me thinking about all of that is when i sent out a mailer this past tuesday with the PVD date on it and i got an e-mail back from a TA asking to confirm the date and after i had replied to the they hit me back saying
"Thanks, now I can plan for the party :) Make sure you publish it to

and i had posted it in the events thread on july 22nd. So it got me thinking how many others might miss it. |

No offence to any of my spanish speaking brothers but that just gets me thinking that that person is a moron! Maybe we can change the name of the events thread for the thinking impaired to be something like "Events: Clubs, Live Shows, and get togethers!" (Whatever a good title should be because I can not think of one right now!) But I do not know how you can spell it out anymore for them! If anyone needs anymore help then is currently given to them, I doubt the can "plan" for a night anyways! :crazy: I think we do a better job then most forums of Roll Calling and making sure our members know about the events. Granted we do not communicate with the lurkers out there that do not post but when they hear us talking about it two weeks out, they should get the idea that the party is around the corner. Just my thoughts! |
