I would like to throw in a 2 cents here as well. I would like to make 1 admendment to the 2 week rule.

I think for Special events, like for me my 11 Year Anniversary, My upcoming PVD show or the Groovefest show surface is working on we should be allowed to post those further out. Those are special events that a lot of TA's will travel for and need to make plans a lot further out then two weeks. I know i posted up my PVD show in the events thread and it completely got overlooked. I even got an e-mail today from someone on TA telling me i needed post that info up on TA because they had not seen it anywhere there yet.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Devin:
Perhaps I'm missing something but what's so special about PvD's event? I love PvD as much as the next person but him being #2 DJ in the world is purely an opinion of MixMag readers. Is he playing more than his usual 2.5 hour set?

I will, however, agree that multiple big headliner massives like Groovefest deserves more exposure. And if your 11th Annniversay party is as extensive as Groovefest then that can have it's own thread earlier than 2 weeks too. How about 1 month out?

ya i see nothing special with the aniversary OR pvd. i wouldnt like to see a sander thread either a month befoe and his my favorite dj.

as far as big festivals like groovefest i think its a sweet idea to post them before sicne well its not ur regular night of clubbing but another type of event.

either way u can post about them in the party planner section a month or 2 in advanced. poeple will still be able to make plans.

I see your point there. I was just throwing up examples. I just look as PVD having one of the larger followings on TA. But like i said it was just an example. As for the 2.5 hour set, if it had not been for the damn closing times in atlanta being 2:45 he would of easily played another 2 hours last time. Honestly he did not want tot stop and asked to keep playing but we know how the laws work in this town. If people would come out earlier and pack the club out by 10:00 on a normal basis i'm sure we could get him on at 10:00 - close and make it a 5 hour set easily. ;)

Also i take it there is no chance to just get a sub forum like the toronto board that is just events. The layout is just a lot easier then going through pages of one thread.

PvD did an amazing set last time he was here. Best set I've heard from him at Eleven50. The best PvD set in Atlanta I've been to is still his Club NV set when he was suppose to play for 3+ hours and he ended up playing for 5.5 hours. Simply breath-taking.

I have to be honest and say I'm a little wary about those "5 hour sets". Nick had a "5 hour set" and he played for 3.75 hours at the most. And I know he's in the building because he went into Eleven50 as I entered. I'm not complaining because he threw down an extraordinary set. I only wish he had that extra hour to really make it that much better.
