She played an absolute blinder opening up for Christopher Lawrence at Circus. For anyone who missed it....this is imo what a proper set opening up for a full on Trance DJ should sound like - dark, probing prog that takes the floor from 0-60. The main room at Spundae had about 15 people in it when she came on, and it was packed when she left about an hour plus later when Dave Aude took over.
Below is one of Eve's earlier sets that is very similar in mood to the Spundae set. Highly recommend!
Eve Falcon - Beautiful World
1) Habersham - Inconstant
2) Blue Room Project - Out of Area (Habersham/Numinous remix)
3) B.I.G. - A Promise (Dousk’s Idiotic remix)
4) Habersham/Numinous -Leaving Tifton
5) Michael Burns -Forwards
6) Madoka - Distant Memories (Matt Dekay mix)
7) Dirty Fours -Machines
8) Greg Benz -Mar Del Plata (Dousk remix)
9) Blue Haze -Into Nothing (Bill Hamel remix)
10) Filta & Hiratzka - In the Music

You know, that's one thing I've always been disappointed about in LA...the openers for trance DJs. Just always doesn't fit the mood.
Think SF does a MUCH better job than that...most of the time. Hate it when Behrouz opens up for a trance DJ, but when the likes of Gianni, Taj, CyberJoe, etc do...they are very good at it. |

| That's very true Dave. I sense that about SF as well. The guys that opened up for JOOF the last two times I was up there did a great job. Trance is always more enjoyable when it is properly set up with mood enhancing Prog. It just raises the level of anticipation to the breaking point before the headliner comes on. The likes of Eve Falcon and Kazell do that well imo. |
