Here's a little video I made from digicam still pictures from the July 30 Apex event. Many of the images are from poundit.ca
DJ Dean from Germany did a 3 hour set that got a lot of positive comments, he played a longer mix of his 2003 track "Protect Your Ears" and I used the video edit for the background music. Sir Kutz from Seattle also got the people moving and a lot of the pictures of the people with the hands in the air are from his set.

| Lots of pix of the Evolve stage at the end there. Wicked video although I'm kind of confused about the pictures of African drummers in there, lol. |

Oh the African drummers, well I was trying to make a comparison between modern rave events and things they did in older or foreign cultures where they are kinda having a rave, seeking altered and higher mental states through the use of drums, music, drugs, fire or bright lights, and crowds of people. There's a shot of Stonehenge in there too - I bet it was an ancient rave site.
Funny, if you look at pictures of the huge Sensation rave in Holland, they look a lot like the religious event they have in Mecca where all those people on a Moslem pilgrimage go around that big structure that looks like the Sensation DJ stage in the middle of the building. |
