TORONTO!!! If the Leafs get first pick, I can never watch hockey anymore. I really don't care about hockey anymore, but I'll still occasionally tune in unless Toronto gets Crosby. If the 'centre of the universe' gets him, sports tv as Canada knows it will be over. 24/7 Leafs coverage.. I can see it now. It would just be another talent for the Leafs to waste in their constant exit in the first or second round of the playoffs!!! Come on Leafs fans, bring it!!! I might live in Edmonton but I was an Avalanche fan, anyway.
This is not even so much as to bash the Leafs as it is to bash Canadian media... 10 minute coverage on every team in Canada but like a half hour special on the Leafs who are the least successful of all the Canadian teams in the playoffs. Gimme a break! I remember a week ago I tuned into TSN (Toronto Sports Network) and I heard one of the reporters talk about the proposed new NHL rules and after he actually said "if I recall, the last time rules like this were in place... the Leafs had a great season." WHAT IS THAT?!?!?!
So yeah, let that Leaf pingpong ball get lost in the draft lottery.. bring Crosby to Edmonton or Colorado.

| Even if the Leafs managed to get him, they still wouldn't win a Cup. He belongs in Montreal, just like Mario Lemieux did at the start of his career. Unfortunately, these phenoms can't choose where they go.:( |
