I have about 600 pics, all about 2.5mb. Whats the quickest way to change them all to jpg format and reduce the file size, without doing it 1 by 1, so i can put on cd.

Cheers in advance.

unless you have a program that does batch jobs you're ed

you got photoshop paulie? what format are the images in?

In photoshop,

1. you can try creating your own action for resizing (takes a couple mins). Another tutorial on actions here.
2. After creating the action, then you can run the automate batch command to apply the action to the entire batch (folder).

Alternatively, i can send you an action (that you can import and run) to do the batch conversion (i've got actions for 640x480 and 600x450 so if you want them to be bigger you can create your own with the required specs).

otherwise acdsee can do it. from experience quality seems to suck balls when you use acdsee for conversion and resize, even with maximum setting, but that might be my own settings f*cked up.

TIP: don't change the orientation (vertical/horizontal) of any of the images until after you've applied the batch conversion and resizing. Trust me, will save you heaps of time and headaches.
