Is this game any good? ive checked up on reviews they say its awesome... but them are just uber geeks so...
Is it any better than Gran Turismo 2? |

quite good, if you are really into cars and racing. its not as 'fun' or forgiving as Forza, as in its much more faceted.
i actually heard someone say gt2 was still better...thats bull though.
and it gets HARD| |

| hmmm, i dunno, when i first bought it i played it non stop for about a week, but i've not played it since then lol. I'd say it tends to get kinda boring after a while. |

| The difficulty gets real hard real fast, so you may get frustrated. I played it when I got it, and got through around 40%, haven't touched it in months now. Gonna del the save game come winter and prolly start again. |

The entire game is purely about car referencing and tuning. There is no emphasis on racing realism or pleasure.
Polyphony claims to be these highspeed "car enthusiasts" but apply their talent ONLY on the cars....and not much more. The cars themselves are great...but the artificial intelligence is JUST AS STUPID as Gran Turismo 1. It has not changed. Its not fun to play a race in GT4.
The actual races dont come close to realism whatsoever. People dont race SLR McLarens with Jaguar S-Types and Holden Manaros. It just doesnt happen. And then again...the AI is that of a drunken redneck on Nascar Sunday.
Like I said...its great for people who like to tune cars and look at them. But it lacks badly on the feeling of racing and realism.
