I have my weekly 2 hour show starting on www.ETN.FM this Thursday night 23rd June 2005. I'm going to have a 4hr launch show between 6-10pm (then 8-10pm thereafter) showcasing talent from both national and international shores. It'll include livesets, exclusive mixes, promotional material etc. etc. At this stage it will be formatted as a pre-recorded show, but I endeavour to have this become a live stream.
I will for the launch have two international rising stars that are definately going to take the world by storm. They are both relatively new to some of you out there but have releases out there on wax and have tunes signed to labels. I will also incorporate my own exclusive 1 or 1.5 hour set from myself and/or another local Australia DJ (still to be confirmed).
First up we have DJ Kristoff (Canada) *1.5 hour set*
Real Name: Kris Wilkinson
Age: 25
Located: Edmonton AB, Canada
Born: Red Deer, 1979
Sponsors/Affiliates: Fehrenheit.com, Waysofthewikkid.com, Djkristoff.com
Record Labels: De Novo UK, RE:Create Holland, Flux Delux UK
Brief Bio:
Born and raised in Canada, Kristoff has progressively built a
foundation as one of Canada's leading producers. At 26 years
old with 6 years promoting, producing and mixing, his cds, tracks
and live performances have influenced listeners all over the world.
With a strong determination to consistently deliver cutting edge
high-nrg tracks, it's no question why his releases are already
slamming into MixMag's Top 10 charts weeks before release.
And we're not done there! Get ready for 2 more high-nrg remixes
coming forth on Flux Delux UK and RE:Create (fundamental) Holland.
A regular guest amongst the likes of Armin Van Buuren, John '00
Fleming, Christopher Lawrence, Jon O'Bir, Blank & Jones, Matt Darey,
Adam Freeland and Astral Projection on Digitally Imported Radio,
Kris is quickly stepping into the big leagues to join the largest
artists in the world.
Be sure to checkout his "Night Addix" CD
Series available for download on http://www.djkristoff.com, and
watch for Australian and UK tours starting late 2005/2006.
Next up we have the new rising duo:
Sound of Progression / Odyssee *1 hour set*
The Sound of Progression consists of 2 producers: Robin van de Wiel and Daniel Wanrooy. They met just about the same time as when they both started getting into producing, which was round the age of 14. Many years past by as the two friends stayed in close contact, always producing, always looking for ways to improve their sound.
Then in the year 2001 they decided that it was time to combine their powers and form an alliance, And so Odyssee was created.
In 2002/2003 they got noticed by labels such as Fundamental Recordings (from which Progression was born), Lost Language, Gesture and Black Hole Recordings.
DJ Peekz (Canberra, Australia)
Captivated by the Dutch uplifting sound since the late 90's, when he by chance heard a Matt Darey compilation, Peekz has since been an avid Trance fan. With a strong passion for music already in place, he began mixing in January 2003. He set about making his first demo CD in April which was well received, and in May played his first public set which drew words of encouragement from Lucien Foort who appeared on the dance floor much to his shock!
Since then Peekz has supported the likes of BeXta, Liquid M, Diggs & Morro, Brewster B, Alex Taylor and more recently Steve Gerrard, Robert Nickson, Adam White, Jumping Jack and a host of interstate DJ's at local events. With a love for driving, melodic, uplifting and emotional tunes, Peekz has his sights set on bigger and better things to come both in Djing and production, and has already had 2 tracks released digitally with more to come. Undoubtedly the biggest moment so far for Peekz was supporting him main influence, DJ Tiësto on his Australian tour in December 2003.
AND Chris Pana to wrap up the show - using my Where to now? promo of May 2005 as I ran out of time getting an exclusive one done.
I will post more details later on this evening or even tomorrow well before the start to give you time to get on. If you have any queries regarding the formatting or even if you'd like to get yourself heard, drop me an email at: chrispana@gmail.com
Luvin it!
