| "I'm doing something that a good friend of mine nicknamed a 'laptop symphony'. Basically it's like DJing but with remixing. I'm using laptops and USB keyboards, live, and a friend of mine and I, we wrote a plug-in from scratch in C (the programming language), that does my stutter-edit technique live; so I can do live stutter-edits, I can write my own basslines, my own acid lines, my own breakbeats, all live, and I'll sometimes mix up to five tracks together. I'll play Afrika Bambaataa over the top of Radiohead with strings from Debussy, and then my own breakbeats and acid lines. I'm making music up on the fly." |
