It was a good night last night. Porter had a great set. I would have to say only about 5% of the people knew who they were hearing, but none the less good to see some big names coming through PHX.
Was also nice to know that Eventvibe VIP meant free entry - not bad. |

I really liked his set, but it was real quiet there that night. Out of the few people that were there, not that many even came to see him. I don't think that bodes well for the scene here, but I hope I'm wrong.

Nope, but I made a fool of myself dancing and loving it. Its the snottsdale scene - but i have to support anyplace that brings in major acts. Would love it is Marcus Schulz came around, after all danceradio was promoting a special this sunday night and he will be spinning, they said he was noted as starting the EDM scene in AZ. Guess is an AZ local.
Crystal Method tonight, see what they have to throw down. Hope they throw in some good breakbeat and not just play to the ears of the trophy girlfriends.
I dont know much of the Warp Bros, any idea?
I am really interested in trying to help promote more dj's to the area but have no idea how. My short list would be Jon O'bir, James Holden, Deep Dish, Ferry Costen
On a side note, went to Swell Records and the trance section was tiny with not much to note of. |
