As Altitude have started a new night, Dirty Disco, on Saturday nights we had to ensure that those people that loved the old nights could still experience the same music, atmosphere and vibe. We have adjusted the music policy slightly so that we will be running trance from start to finish and brought in a few new DJ's to whet your appetites. Altitude has also been undergoing some renovations over the last few weeks to ensure you are walking into one of the best dressed clubs around and best of all... the balcony is coming!! We will be able to spill out onto the balcony over Russell Street when the dancing gets you all worked up and you need to cool down.
The resident DJ's are Steve Nichols and DJB and below is a short summary of their careers to date:
DJB is relatively new to the DJ scene but the fact that he has played alongside some of the world's best DJ's (Christopher Lawrence, Adam White (UK), Alphazone (GER) and Steve Hill(UK)) within the first 12 months of his career is a testament to the skill this man has. As a former resident of Altitude's Saturday nights and a regular guest of the 5AM crew he has plenty of experience and looks set to play a major part in the future of trance in this city, and if he has his way, the world! Come and see what all the hype is about.
Combine Steve’s bangin’ music with his charged-up energy behind the decks and you’ve got a recipe for absolute mayhem on the dance floor. With extensive experience across Australia and the UK this DJ has established himself as one of the most respected DJs in the country. Any Aussie clubber who lived in London a few years back will know all about him as he dominated the scene over there for 2 years, headlining major nights like Frantic, Heat, Fevah, Farenhite and Twisted, and playing to thousands at venues on the scale of Turnmills, Camden Palace and the Brixton Academy. Since returning to Australia his talent has won him guest slots all over Australia and New Zealand and residencies in Melbourne at Frantic and Altitude. 10 years, 4 countries, 12 cities, over 300 performances to 150,000 people and counting….the guy who plays and produces with the world’s DJ elite is going to have Deliverance thumping!!
In addition to our residents we will also see the following DJ's on rotation: Jeremy K (Altitude), Miss Mel (Brisbane), Paul Doran (Frantic/Surge - Sydney) and support from many of our local trance DJ's. On special occasions we also plan to have some internationals join us for the party.
Well that's the background, now the important bit... the first party!!!

DJ's:
Alongside our residents Steve Nichols and DJB we have Altitude favourite and one of the biggest DJ's on the Melbourne scene in Jeremy K. Getting proceedings underway will be Scott Bateman of 5AM and Transcend fame. And we are also proud to announce an international for the first event!! Shaun Rowland will be joining us from the UK. Shaun is the man behind the successful BecomeOne parties that have been running in London over the last few years. In addition to this he has supported some of the world's best DJ's in Eddie Halliwell, John Askew, Alex MORPH, Matt Darey, Anthony Dean, Ian Betts, Scott Bond & Riley and Durrant at events that include The Gallery @ Turnmills, Misitry of Sound, Knowwhere @ The Fridge and No Limits @ Mass. Expect some awesome upfront and pumping trance from this man.
Door will be $9 Guestlist and Altitude Members and $12 on the door.
