Oliver Lieb - Schleudertrauma / Unwucht [Delirium Red]
View this Thread in Original format
Sand Leaper
Oliver seems to be gradually getting back into the business. First sign was his collab with DJ Preach and his update of Netherworld. Now he hits back yet again, this time on Delirium Red, label of long time production partner and friend WJ Henze. Those of you expecting trance will be sorely disappointed, as these tracks are two driving loop/tool techno tracks, vaguely reminiscent of The Black Album he did as LSG.

While these tracks are nowhere near on the same level as some his previous works on the harder techno tip as well as not that much for the home listener, they still pack a good punch, and still retain the trademark subtleties that Oliver is known for. Funky yet fierce and subtle yet energetic. Samples here:

I kinda like both tracks (although I have only heard 1 minute snips of both)... good driving techno. His new Paragliders production, Infra Rouge, is very nice too.

Delirium Red has always been dishing out solid straightforward techno and i'll assume this is no exception. I'll be checking out those samples now...

glad to see him start releasing stuff again...i'll check it out :)

yeah, that one is great! you just gotta love the darkness of Oliver's productions. always nice to hear tracks with a tougher edge than the standard trance fluff..
