I used to live near Buffalo/Niagara Falls, so I have visited Toronto dozens of times. Best place to exchange your money is at the casino if you cross over the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls. They give the best exchange rate (better than the banks). If not, hit a duty free shop at whichever bridge you cross. You do not want to be spending American Money there. Example...you give the bartender $20USD for a $5CDN drink. They give you $20CDN back so you think, not bad. But they $20CDN is worth $15USD, so you just spent $10usd on a drink.
Oh and you MUST have a birth certificate with AND a photo ID to cross the border.
I finally got my tickets this morning SWEET :) They came to $166USD for 4. |
I was born in a diff country so I dont have my birth certificate. Isn't a US Passport good enough, it seems to work when traveling overseas so why not over land? |
