Hey guys-
I am having an INCREDIBLY difficult time booking a hotel for after Armin, any idea on what the deal is and why there isn't a room in all of downtown Chicago for May 21-22?
Also, any suggestions for easy places to get to after the show outside of the downtown area? I have a 5 hour drive home, so that's not really waht I'm looking to do after the Armin gig, and usually a Vision night is followed by some rest at the Hilton Garden Inn... but now, I can't find a place within a mile of Vision that's got any vacancy...
Any info would be appreciated, Peace, Cheers,

Well, I got a pretty solid deal on a room here:

Anyone know anything about it? Seems to be pretty nice, but it is a 20 minute drive from Vision... I'm hoping it's not too complex, otherwise I may be cabbin' it from one place to another...
Also, can anyone tell me what cab fare is like in Chicago? This place is like 19 miles away, and I'm really concerned about my ability to get there at 5 when the show is over... Am I really looking at like a $35 cab ride both ways?

that hotel is right across the street from where i work in oakbrook. honestly, its a pretty long ride out to downtown, especially if you hit traffic. directions from the hotel to vision are simple though. cab fares just got raised yesterday:

if you're gonna stay outside of downtown but close to a highway, i'd suggest searching in the rosemont/ohare area. theres also a holiday inn in skokie thats right off 94. good luck |

I booked the hotel already just cuz it looked nice/was cheap, but hopefully I'll be able to deal... you have any idea what it would cost for a cab?
I guess I'll be checking the O'Hare area and likely cancelling at the drake... :( |

i always stay in lincoln park and whenever my sis's cant give me a ride, its only bout $12 to vision via cab. not bad at all |
