pulled me for going under the speed limit :stongue:
there is a short stretch of 60mph road by asda next to the metro centre in gateshead where the police stopped me for going about 50 and repeatedly asked me the speed limit (me knowing fine well it was 60) and them blatantly getting it wrong
i was asked to check the limit next time i drove down there, to which i pointed at the national speed limit sign
a few choice phrases by the policemen, + responses
"are you on a mission?"
you what?
"what are you doing?"
going to asda (policemen obviously completely oblivious to the fact that we were in the asda car park and i was looking for a space)
"why?"
to buy stuff
"like what?"
bread, hair gel, beer...
i also got told, "just because the speed limit is 60, doesn't mean you have to go that fast" even though i am perfectly entitled to do so as long as i'm not causing a hazard...
i sent a complaint to the local police force via their website:
| quote: | | I would like to congratulate your police force on 'pulling' me for travelling at 50mph in a national speed limit zone, as the officers in question were obviously unaware of the speed limit. Wouldn't their time be better spent learning to read signposts, or better yet, catching murderers? |
this is the 2nd time i've been 'pulled' this year for not breaking the law, in mint
hopefully that provided some mild entertainment for u :p
