James Bryan performs live at the Mod Club Theatre, Thursday May 12th
First came George Benson, Santana, and now James Bryan. Like those legendary artists before him, James commands the soul of the listener with his guitar, creating a sound at once fiery, passionate and soulful. Recognized as one of Canada's top musicians as well as an award winning producer, songwriter, and performer, James combines his years of stage experience (as member of The Philosopher Kings) and studio skills (co-creator of multi-platinum act Prozzak, co-produced and co-wrote Fefe Dobson's debut) in his new solo venture. Jazz and house collide with salsa and breakbeats in an explosive set of vocal and instrumental originals, all tied together by that unmistakable guitar, the voice of James Bryan.
As award winning writer, producer and performer, James has worked with a variety of artists including: Nelly Furtado, Jacksoul, Molly Johnson, Maestro, Jeleestone, Jarvis Church, and Ivanna Santilli. On the 5x platinum cartoon animated group "Prozzak" (Sony Music), James scored 4 top ten videos (2 number ones) with "Sucks to be You" and "Strange Disease", and top 40 radio hits. Their website www.prozzak.com has been internationally recognized as one of the best in the world.
More recently, James co-produced (with Jay Levine) Fefe Dobson's platinum selling debut album, featuring radio and video hits "Take Me Away", Bye Bye Boyfriend", and "Everything".
As a member of The Philosopher Kings, James was able to hone his guitar playing and performance aspects through a multitude of tours throughout North America, Japan, and Brazil and award show performances.
