The bible apparently states that being gay is wrong, ive never found it in there, but then again i dont read it. But im aware that contraception is a big no no thats why they dont want people in africa using condoms, but instead sit back and let them die of aids, when there is a bandaid solution to the problem. |
the homo thing comes from a line stating \"man shall not lie with man, nor woman with woman\" and the contraception thing is related to \"man shall not spill his seed upon the earth\" (i think). whats bollocks is that the church is selective in its belief structures. theres nothing in the 10 commandments about homosexuality. and they were meant to be the laws of god (i believe later changed to only 2 commands, love thy neighbour and love thy god).
theres also nothing in the scriptures that is against the ordination of women. i believe this stems from the fact that jesus' apostles were all fellas. what a load of bollocks. they choose what they want to adhere to based upon their already conservative viewpoints.
i reckon consistency is really important with any belief system.
anyone that believes an all loving and forgiving god would want some of the bull most religions display today, is a congenital idiot imo. |
