I guess I didn't make a good enough attempt to read through the whole thread, but when people start throwing around figures like "I'm in the top 2% of my country's intelligence" and having IQ pissing contests it's just kind of funny to me.

Muckluck was suggesting that my musical tastes work as they do because I am of low intelligence, i.e "stupid" as he puts it. I wasn't going to let that pass as an argument.

first of all we didn't see any facts, it was an opinion that your 2% smarter then whatever.

And honestly your IQ matters just as much as your SAT score.

Anyway if you think your more inclined intelligently & musically then everyone here, you shoud produce some tracks. It must be easy for a mind like yours.

An opinion? An exam result is a pretty ing strange opinion. I took a test when I was in my last year of school, and came out with the highest score in the year. This isn't bragging, but you're putting me on the spot and it's pissing me off.

Produce some tracks? If I ever have the money to piss away on buying some hardware and software, and the free time to learn some serious music theory I'll do just that.

And when the did I say I was smarter than everyone here? I just proved that I'm not thick, to disprove a ing argument. Is it either I willingly lose an argument and be called thick by someone who has never met me, or I get some prick like you trying to paint me as doing something I didn't?

You put yourself on the spot... I did not bring it up. No one here is going to believe you anyway, or care to that matter.

I am in the top 2% of my country in terms of intelligence, which means I could join MENSA if I was bored enough.

This is a pretty intelligent board for the most part. I never automatically consider myself smarter than anyone without listening to what they have to say, and how they say it. 2% is a minority, but it's still a hell of a lot of people.

Right now I'm working, and browsing the web in between. Do you know how much time and effort it takes to learn music properly, not in the half-arsed "let the engineer do the hard work" manner most dance producers opt for? Only people who have been playing instruments for many years have a proper musical knowledge.

Finally, I don't care who believes me, or even listens. It's a fact, not an opinion, and it disproves an argument. Take it, or leave the argument.

Had not heard this song in any set - and the lyrics made me quite skeptical before listening. Unfortunately, I had to stop the song once the singing started, because bad lyrics + boring voice does not keep one interested. Nice track... just remove the vocals.

To claim it's the best vocal track ever is all opinion of course ;-)

Personally, I'd say something like Seven Cities (AVB Vocal Mix) would be my nomination. Just different songs I've heard throughout various sets, ones I think are great vocal tracks:

Home (Mike Shiver Remix) - Lost Witness
All I Want (Ferry Corsten remix) - Aven
You're Not Alone - Modal
Melt [Distinctive] - Way Out West (not really trance, but)
The Air That I Breathe (Alex Morph Remix) - Talla 2XLC

when was the last time Nu NRG produced a "vocal track"

anyway you can not prove to me that Nu NRG make bad productions, as you probably can not name any producers that even sound like them.
